Nova-Tech founder and current Chairman of the Board, Gloria Thesenvitz, was named The Grand Island Independent’s 2017 Woman of the Year. The Independent’s publisher, Don Smith, says Gloria’s "strength, tenacity, ingenuity and positive outlook are characteristics that have served her well in her professional career and her community service activities." Smith says, "She sets a great example for young women to follow. She has made a great impact on our community through various leadership roles." Cindy Johnson, president of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce says, "[Gloria] is not afraid to take smart risks and has persevered and prospered." Robert Pore’s article in The Grand Island Independent notes Nova-Tech’s significant growth and technological advancement under Gloria’s leadership, as well as her childhood, agricultural roots, desire to succeed, and personal satisfaction. Gloria says she was "humbled" by the recognition— "I know many of the other women who have received this honor. They are accomplished and amazing. Nova-Tech located at 4705 Gold Core Road, Grand Island, Nebraska will make a multi-million dollar expansion in facilities and property acquisition in response to increased market demand and planned growth.  The addition of a new 33,000 square foot tempered warehouse is currently under construction with facility completion in August 2015. The new facility is necessary to provide logistics for raw materials and finished products to meet the ongoing and increased needs of the business.  In addition, to accommodate projected employee growth, a new and expanded parking lot with a 10 space capacity will be added to the existing company footprint.  The new parking addition is scheduled for completion in the Summer of 2015.
